Earvin Johnson is truly "Magic." As point guard of the Los Angeles Lakers, he led his team to five championships during the 1980s, claiming three NBA Playoff MVP Awards and three NBA MVP Awards. With "Showtime" starring Magic and the Lakers team, the team and the sport as a whole was rejuvenated. Johnson's diligent playing even inspired the addition of the term "triple-double" to the basketball lexicon. On June 5, 2002, Earvin "Magic" Johnson was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
